Maintenance loose ended dreadlocks

Noticed your loose ends getting a little frizzy and dry? No worries! You can safely use heat up to 200°C to make them soft, shiny, and smooth again:

  • Brush and detangle
  • Wet the ends
  • Straighten & smooth the ends with a straightener. Avoid the dreaded part as it will melt under dry heat.

You will notice the heat and steam help smooth out the ends, making it look as good as new!

Do not wash your hair more than once a week. You can wear the dreadlocks for a long time (6-8 weeks) with regular care.

After use, you can put the dreadlocks in a pillowcase or washing bag and wash them in the washing machine. Throw it in with your laundry at a maximum temperature of 30°C. This way your dreadlocks will be super clean and smell wonderfully fresh.

Want to make the ends smooth and perfect before you install them again? I have some tips. You need water, a cotton cloth and your clothing iron:

  • Brush and detangle the loose ends
  • Drench a cotton cloth in water
  • Place the wet cloth on the kitchen counter.
  • Fold and place the dreadlocks between the cloth.
  • Put an iron on max temperature and place it on the wet cloth
  • Apply a bit of pressure on the iron and pull the dreadlocks out of the cloth.

Refresh 10-15 dreads at a time. You can use the metal ring you received with the dreadlocks. Be careful not to burn yourself with the steam.
